Daylight Saving Time - "Fall Back"
This is a great time of the year to think about a couple of things that will add to your safety and to the safety of those you care about.
#1. Turn back your clocks before you go to bed Saturday night. Studies show most of us are sleep deprived so use the extra hour we gain by turning back our clocks to get some additional rest.
#2. It's hunting season again. Hunters will be in the woods and deer, among other animals will be moving around and crossing roadways more frequently. Remember, never swerve to miss an animal. The best thing to do is to slow down and hope the animal gets out of the way in time. By swerving you may lose control of your vehicle and cause a more serious accident.
#3. From now until the spring the sun is lower on the horizon. This makes morning and later afternoon driving more hazardous due to the suns blinding influence on roadways. Therefore, have a pair of sunglasses ready to use if you encounter a blinding roadway. Or better yet, purchase a see through shaded sun visor ready to flip down on a moments notice. They only cost a few dollars and could save you from a serious auto accident.
We hope these tips help you and your loved ones stay safe!
Sincerely,
Your friends at John Diana Insurance
